Monitoring and Evaluation of Health Communication Programmemes for the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence
摘要
To effectively fight against gender-based violence, it is imperative that health communication prevention programmes are in place to educate communities on the importance of gender equality and respect for all individuals. However, simply implementing these health communication programmes is not enough—it is crucial that they are monitored and evaluated to ensure that they are having the desired impact. This chapter explores the importance of the evaluation and monitoring of health communication programmes for the prevention of gender-based violence. The chapter starts by highlight key indicators, conceptual and theoretical metrics for assessing the effectiveness of health communication programmes for the prevention of gender-based violence. The chapter ends by provide recommendations for enhancing the evaluation and monitoring efforts of health communication programmes for the prevention of gender-based violence in the Global South.
