Building Partnerships for Health Communication Programmes for the Prevention of Gender Based Violence
摘要
To effectively prevent gender-based violence, partnerships bringing together a range of stakeholders dedicated to creating an atmosphere of safety, equality, and respect must be formed. By including a diverse group of people in gender-based violence preventive efforts, it is possible to create a strong support network that can withstand setbacks. Networks can provide ongoing support and resources to advocates and survivors, as well as help hold institutions and individuals accountable for their actions. Networks can create a system that is more resilient and flexible, better equipped to address and prevent gender-based violence across time. This chapter discusses partnerships for health communication programmes for the prevention of gender-based violence. It addresses the importance of partnership in tackling gender-based violence, the role of civil society organisations, government agencies, and community leaders in promoting gender equality and preventing gender-based violence.
