The goal of the research is a studious and objective review of the legal aspect of critical infrastructure protectionCritical infrastructure protection in MontenegroMontenegro in order to modernize the normative basis and upgrade the protectionSystem system in accordance with the relevant EU acts in this area. The main research question is: To what extent is the legal frameworkLegal framework for the protectionProtection of critical infrastructure in MontenegroMontenegro compatible withEuropean standards European standards? We will get the answer to this question by using the comparative legal method, which enables the comparison of domestic legal regulations in this area with the legislation of the European UnionEuropean Union and comparative legislation with the aim of improving national regulations and their application. The results of the research will indicate the necessity of innovating the existing national legal regulations and improving the normative framework for the protectionProtection of critical infrastructure. On the basis of a studious analysis of the legal basis, the adoption of new legal solutions in this area will follow. The conclusion is that only a modern legal frameworkLegal framework harmonized with European standardsEuropean standards and its consistent application can guarantee effective protectionProtection of critical infrastructure.
