Artificial Intelligence in Radiology: A Comparative Study of Diagnostic Accuracy and Operational Efficiency

The study will seek to know how the implementation of purpose of AI within radiology will help enhance the diagnostic certainty and accelerate caregiving to increase the health standards of the patients. It seeks to show how AI technologies will help to identify several abnormalities in patients which will eradicate diagnostic mistakes. It will also explain how this technology is applied to the clinical decision support system, also known as CDSS, through the historical data of the patients so as to enable practitioners make customizable choices that would improve on the health of their patients. However, there are some constraints and issues in using AI in the medical field and they include; Lack of standards in deploying AI, Algorithmic biases of AI and the Reliability of the AI systems. It shall also look at the social implications of the accountability of the gleaned AI decisions since in some instances the AI might fail to make a proper judgment or fail to detect essential abnormalities of patients that lead to an improper diagnosis, thus being a threat to the integration of the AI in the medical field.
