This research celebrates the vital role and profound influence of women in society, aligning with the values of Bahraini leadership that recognize women’s elevated status. In Bahraini society, women are revered as symbols of life, nature, and beauty, embodying the essence of existence across all eras. From the earliest cave paintings to the works of poets, scientists, and writers, women have inspired creative and intellectual pursuits, symbolizing strength, inspiration, and resilience. Artists have played a central role in portraying women, not just as subjects of beauty but as figures enriched with meaning and depth. They have consistently represented women through various materials, techniques, and life stages, placing them within broader artistic narratives that reflect their integral role in life. Among these artists, Bahraini painter Ibrahim Busaad stands out for his deep commitment to depicting women. He views them as a “second homeland,” consistently presenting them in diverse styles and themes. His artworks go beyond visual representation, aiming to convey women’s messages, emotions, and social significance. Busaad’s ability to capture the emotional and symbolic dimensions of women makes his body of work a compelling subject for study. This research focuses on his artistic legacy and the way his portrayals contribute to a broader understanding of women’s value and presence in society. This research aims to shed light on the artistic characteristics of the image of women in the artworks of Ibrahim Busaad, through an analysis of selected pieces created between 1999 and 2018.
