This chapter explores the complex nature of caring interactions in various contexts, from intimate family relationships and professional healthcare settings to community engagements. Central to the discussion is the concept of coproduction, where care is seen as active, reciprocal interactions between involved stakeholders, challenging the traditional binary of caregivers and care recipients in custodial care. We draw on the works of Elinor Ostrom and Edgar Cahn to illustrate human synergies realized through additive and transformative views of coproduction, which focus on leveraging and recognizing the capacities of different stakeholders, respectively. Through the coproduction model, which promotes equality, reciprocity, and participation, we reimagine the production and delivery of care, aiming to achieve more effective and reciprocal care outcomes through collective action and mutual support.

摘要
