AgeTech encompasses advanced technologies (AI, robotics, ICTs) used to benefit older adults and transform health and social care delivery. While palliative care needs are increasing due to population aging, AgeTech applications currently lack a focus on supporting the evolving care needs of older people with life-threatening illnesses. This book examines the opportunities and challenges of using AgeTech to address the specific, changing palliative care needs of older adults as their health deteriorates. It provides practitioners, academics, and policymakers with an accessible, user-centered overview of how AgeTech can meaningfully integrate into future palliative care delivery.
