Dynamic Analysis of a Distributing Mechanism with Four End-Effectors

This article discusses type synthesis, kinematic, and dynamic analysis of a recently proposed distributing mechanism with four end-effectors. The mechanism belongs to a class of single-driven lever mechanisms, which can transform driving link rotation into end-effector’s prismatic movement. The discussed mechanism has four end-effectors that realize equal linear displacements. The article firstly discusses the type synthesis of the mechanism and its geometry. Kinematic analysis follows next and calculates displacements, velocities, and accelerations of the end-effectors. Dynamic analysis comes after and provides calculation of a real law of angular velocity of the driving link after flyweight setting. The obtained results form the basis for development a physical prototype of the distributing mechanism.
