Gynecological Cancers
摘要
The availability of natural dietary components and their potential to target many cancer hallmarks make them attractive. Garlic exhibits anticancer activities by interfering with multiple stages of carcinogenesis. Allicin exhibits a direct antitumor effect, enhancing the effectiveness of radiotherapy and chemotherapy while protecting normal cells from the carcinogenic effects of the treatments. Most cancer medications now utilize immune surveillance and antigrowth signals to prevent cancer cells from proliferating uncontrollably. These pathways are crucial for the unending growth and development of cancer cells. For patients and doctors, resistance to these medications and the high cost of therapy pose serious obstacles [1]. Combining natural and synthetic substances can enhance bioavailability or provide synergistic effects. The improved distribution of natural substances can also be achieved through novel technologies such as nanotechnology.
