Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are critical to the global economy, contributing to job creation and economic growth. However, managing these enterprises’ occupational health and safety (OHS) poses unique challenges. These businesses often lack the resources and infrastructure to implement comprehensive OHS measures. This study investigates the status and the link between OHS measures and the efforts of SMEs in Kuwait. Data was collected from 96 SMEs through interviews following a questionnaire. The data collected was analyzed in phases using STATA 18. The first phase involved evaluating data reliability with Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, which was found to be 0.7452, indicating acceptable consistency. The findings indicate a moderate positive correlation between OHS measures and efforts, indicating that poor implementation adversely affects these efforts. Consequently, SMEs in Kuwait should focus on successfully executing OHS measures and efforts.
