In this chapter, we study some simple flow fields of ideal fluids.Ideal fluid The stress tensor in such flow fields is entirely due to pressure. There is no viscous stress tensor present. Further, the velocity field is not subject to the no-slip condition on solid interfaces. However, the no-penetration condition still applies.
