Anterior Temporal Lobectomy for Temporal Lobe Epilepsy
摘要
Temporal lobectomy for the treatment of drug-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy started with Wilder Penfield and Herbert Jasper, paving the way for Murray Falconer in the 1950s to further develop the technique of anterior temporal lobectomy with amygdalohippocampectomy. This highly effective and safe technique has since undergone a number of modifications leading to a more individualized and tailored approach.
