The Characteristics of Media Agendas in Local Online Media in Mongolia

The agenda-setting function of the media is based on the hypothesis that issues that emphasize, the “media agenda,” become important for people, the “public agenda.” This study clarifies the characteristics of media agendas in local online media by comparing them with those in local newspapers. It shows the extent to which political articles are published on the front pages of local newspapers and examines the degree of congruence between issues. The study clarifies the distribution and publication status of political-related detailed reports published in newspapers affiliated with local online media and examines the status of attribute agendas in those media.
