Energy-Efficient Digital Transformation of TaRL: Optimized Digitized Approach for Primary Education in Morocco
摘要
This chapter introduces DM-TaRL, an energy-efficient digital platform designed to scale the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodology for Moroccan primary education. DM-TaRL integrates adaptive learning, gamified assessments, real-time analytics, and multilingual content to personalize instruction, reduce teacher workload, and offer a scalable model for sustainable digital transformation in education across Morocco. Built on a lightweight client–server architecture with local caching, DM-TaRL minimizes data processing and power consumption, making it suitable for rural, resource-constrained environments. Role-based access enables students, teachers, administrators, and parents to interact with the system according to their responsibilities, supporting inclusive decision-making. The system’s modular design allows educators to update instructional content and difficulty levels directly through the dashboard, reducing maintenance complexity. A comparative analysis with global EdTech tools highlights DM-TaRL’s comprehensive alignment with cultural relevance, adaptivity, and energy-aware computing. A simulated use case demonstrates its potential to close foundational learning gaps, sustain engagement, and operate effectively in low-connectivity settings.
