Pilot Reviews
摘要
This chapter shares the outcomes of three pilot studies, in which the theory of change for media literacy was applied to samples of activity. Firstly, the theory of change was used to evaluate media literacy projects and activities in the UK over the last decade. Secondly, a seminar series through which researchers from all over the world share their work at the intersection of media literacy, science, health and data communication formed a sample for mapping. Thirdly, 1 year’s outputs from an impactful journal in the field, the Journal of Media Literacy Education, and the most read research outputs curated by Media and Learning, are mapped to the theory of change. By setting out this work, the theory of change is established through ‘proof of concept’, prior to the full mapping of the 400 interventions in the chapters that follow.
