The approach to artificial intelligence, AI, and robots in education in this chapter shows an existing weakness in the application of ethical principles in collecting data from individuals who participate in the educational process and points to solutions. We warn against the condition that the large amount of private data collected from students threatens individual privacy rights. While laws do not overcome the complexity of this issue, we suggest adopting the concept of sustainable ethics, which balances theory and context to evaluate the conditions under which data is collected from students. This reveals a precarious situation that cannot wait long to be resolved, i.e., the commercial use of data collected from students, violating their privacy contrary to the law in force. This precariousness arises from the borderline nature of the internet, which establishes an interrelationship between education, ethics, digital privacy, artificial intelligence, and norms. This condition reveals a technological educational reality permeated by the subjectivity of users of artificial intelligence and robots, which can give rise to the transformation of identities into a product of a patrimonial nature. Sustainable ethics proves itself capable of adapting the educational system to technological innovation, intertwining the parties involved (students and educational institutions), the object (education, intelligent systems, and robots), and the dynamic relationship between them. This allows special treatment to be applied to the collection of student data to resolve privacy violations both in the present and in the future, so that ethics keeps pace with incessant technological innovation.
