Artificial Intelligence in GI Interventions
摘要
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming increasingly prevalent in gastrointestinal (GI) interventions. Algorithms are being developed for disease detection and diagnosis, patient selection, patient-specific procedural planning, intraprocedural guidance, and evaluation of treatment response. Recently, transformative AI technologies such as large language models (e.g., ChatGPT) and collaborative techniques like federated learning have emerged, opening new frontiers for patient communication and multi-center data sharing. Early AI tools in GI endoscopy (such as polyp detection systems) have already gained regulatory approval and are being introduced into practice. Widespread availability of these AI solutions has substantial potential to improve workflow efficiency and patient care when used appropriately, but careful validation and integration are required to ensure safety and efficacy.
