This chapter presents the We’re in This Together: The Voice of Boys project, which explored how young men and boys perceive boyhood, masculinity, RSHE and sexual harassment. It examined how perspectives on masculinity remain unspoken and how these influence harmful behaviours. The study involved two stages: three focus groups (boys aged 13–19) and 16 focus groups (boys aged 15–16), representing diverse backgrounds. Four key themes emerged: grievance, hegemonic and precarious masculinity, conflict between internal and external self and feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness. The chapter situates these findings within the digital age and argues for reframing masculinity.
