Analysis of Operation Characteristics of a Diesel Generator with Various Output Loads
摘要
This study aims to examine the impact of the output load on the characteristics of the test engine and subsequently identify ways to enhance the electrical efficiency of the generator setup. The simulations were conducted using AVL BOOST software and verified using experimental data. The generator was simulated to operate at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% of its nominal load. Furthermore, the experimental process was conducted to validate the power data. The simulations demonstrated an increase in electrical output, a decrease in specific fuel consumption, and an improvement in the overall efficiency of the generator set while operating at full load. Operation at 75% of the nominal load yielded favorable outcomes.
