This book features over 100 professions, organized into 104 entries, where some of the jobs have been grouped together because they were closely related, making it easier and more useful to explain them jointly. The entries are categorized into five sections: (1) Basic research, manufacturing, education/dissemination; (2) clinical research; (3) business, commercial, innovation; (4) healthcare delivery; (5) plants, environment, animals. To give students a general overview of the professions, summaries of each one are provided along with their corresponding page numbers. The recommendation is to read all summaries and then choose several professions you would like to explore further, taking notes of where they are in the book. In each job entry, I have pointed out the job description, the desired skills, and the required professional studies to achieve that profession.
