Approaches to Community Education
摘要
This chapter begins with the author’s own journey into becoming a community educator which includes their own underperformance in school. It then broadens this to outline common criticisms of education especially the school system which includes an overview of how we teach and the different experience people have in school depending on their social class and other intersecting features. It then offers three models of community education namely universal, second-chance and radical and outlines the benefits and pitfalls of each.
