Transforming E-Learning with Blockchain: Features, Innovations, and Future Trends

Blockchain integration in e-learning systems provides an opportunity to change the landscape of educational experience, enhance security over data, and promote stakeholder trust. The paper reviews key characteristics that qualify blockchain technology for use in e-learning, reports on selected notable projects which have successfully integrated blockchain into the education environment, and discusses trends indicating future direction in this convergence. This research aims to provide insights based on current literature and case studies on how blockchain can address challenges in e-learning and contribute to a more decentralized and secure educational landscape. By synthesizing insights from current research, real-life implementations, and expert perspectives, this study aims to demonstrate how blockchain can tackle existing gaps in e-learning—such as credential fraud, data privacy concerns, and inefficient verification processes. The ultimate goal is to showcase blockchain not just as a technological innovation, but as a foundational tool for building a more equitable and resilient future for digital education.
