Emotion regulation is one of the most complex psychological functions and its dysregulation is central to a wide range of psychiatric disorders. Advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) offer remarkable potential for understanding and treating these disorders and also unique possibilities for its improvement and a more personalized approach. This position paper refers that AI-powered tools, particularly those integrated with multimodal neuroimaging and app-supported platforms, can and may transform and significantly impact diagnostics and treatment in psychiatry by enabling precision psychiatry. We advocate for the implementation of AI in clinical practice to enhance early detection of specific neuroanatomical biomarkers of psychiatric pathology, and personalized treatment, while addressing ethical and privacy concerns.

摘要
