In times of rising geopolitical tensions, resilience has become an increasingly important factor for manufacturing companies to ensure continued operations and economic success. While academic research has explored potential factors that enhance resilience, it remains unclear how these factors influence the success of manufacturing companies of different sizes. This study investigates the relationship between factors influencing resilience and the size of a manufacturing company, focusing on the long-term, mid-term, and short-term planning levels and their connection to the resources and processes of a manufacturing company. The study presents literature-derived and empirically validated definitions of organizational and operational resilience, which are essential for manufacturing companies to enhance resilience across all planning levels. Using a systematic literature review according to the PRISMA methodology, the study identified 19 factors which are influencing resilience in manufacturing companies. These resilience influencing factors were evaluated through a scientific survey with 21 participants from various industries, indicating the commonalities and differences of the factors across different manufacturing company sizes. The main outcome is a comprehensive understanding of the factors enhancing operational and organizational resilience in manufacturing companies, depending on the manufacturing company size, and their impact on the planning levels.

摘要
