The chapter analyses the current state of using artificial intelligence (AI) tools in teachers’ scientific and educational activities, considering domestic and international experience. AI can help solve various problems in education today, facilitate the introduction of innovations in learning, and increase progress toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4. However, the rapid development of technology brings risks and issues that require attention from political debates and the creation of an appropriate regulatory framework. UNESCO aims to support member states in leveraging AI’s potential to achieve educational goals by 2030, ensuring that its use in education is based on principles of inclusivity and equity. An analysis of the current state of AI tools in teachers’ scientific and educational activities has been conducted; Ukrainian experience was considered. AI plays an essential role in developing educators’ digital competence in Ukraine. AI provides significant opportunities for educators, allowing them to adapt to new technologies and improve their teaching skills. AI can analyze large volumes of data in the educational process, providing educators with information about the effectiveness of teaching methods, the needs of students, and personalized learning approaches. The results of surveys conducted among Ukrainian educators, including teachers, are presented. A total of 944 teachers participated in the surveys. The author’s experience conducting events for Ukrainian educators, particularly teachers dedicated to using AI tools in educational and scientific activities, is presented. Participants in these events mastered the use of new AI tools. They had the opportunity to exchange experiences with colleagues regarding using AI tools in the educational process and scientific activities.
