This paper presents a use case in a German small and medium-size company to manage the digital transformation process by using digital twins in virtual commissioning. A guideline of Product-Service-Systems reference framework supports the integration of virtual commissioning and digital twins throughout the entire product service lifecycle. This six-phase framework is ranging from target group definition to the integration of smart services into operational systems. Currently, Digital Transformation in the industry is driving increasingly efficient and intelligent production and services processes. This proposed reference framework is intended to facilitate the digital transformation process in SMEs in Germany, using Digital Twins, for minimizing errors, reducing commissioning time, and optimizing system performance. Overall, this use case demonstrates how the framework helps SMEs optimizing their production processes while enhancing the quality and flexibility of their systems.

摘要
