This is how Yasmin, one of the young Muslims I interviewed for this study, responded when I asked her what every Finn, including non-Muslims, should know about the Qur’an. For her, the Qur’an suggests a universal moral compass that transcends religious boundaries, emphasizing accountability, kindness, and the importance of ethical living. Yasmin’s interpretation highlights the shared values of humanity rather than doctrinal specifics, reflecting her view of the Qur’an as a guide for fostering good character and mutual understanding.
