This chapter covers various methods of analyzing direct current (DC) circuits. The chapter starts with Kirchhoff’s current and voltage laws and their use in branch current method (called standard method), mesh loop method and nodal analysis method of analyzing DC circuits. Calculations for inter-conversion between Del and Y circuit configurations are presented in complete detail. Superposition theorem, Thevenin’s theorem, Norton’s theorem and maximum power transfer theorem are covered in some detail. Transient current in RC series DC circuit is also analyzed.
