Implementation of a Web Application for Monitoring Fatigue and Drowsiness in Light Equipment Drivers and Operators of a Mining Company
摘要
In the mining sector, fatigue and drowsiness pose significant risks to the safety and well-being of workers, especially those who perform tasks that require attention and concentration, such as operators of light machinery and machines. Fatigue and drowsiness can compromise the reaction time, attention and decision-making of drivers and operators, thus increasing the risk of workplace accidents and endangering the safety of all those involved. Therefore, the main objective was to determine the influence of the implementation of a web application for monitoring fatigue and drowsiness in drivers and light equipment operators in a mining company. The SCRUM framework was used, which proved to be very effective in the implementation of the web application based on AppSheet technology and configured with the Xiaomi Mi Band7 smart bracelet, through which data related to the hours of sleep of light vehicle drivers and operators will be captured to classify whether a collaborator is fit to return to their daily work and reduce the rate of workplace accidents. To obtain the results, a questionnaire on the usability of computer systems was applied, and the following criteria were measured: usefulness of the system (1.85); quality of the information (2.04) and quality of the interface (1.96). These values, where a lower score indicates better performance, reflect a high level of user satisfaction. The usefulness of the system stood out especially with the best score (1.85), which shows that users found the application particularly effective for controlling fatigue and drowsiness.
