Until now, the dominant control of MNCs have developed global attention, posing difficulty about how to hold accountable for their human rights violation in the context of extractive activities in Africa. From the Kiobel Esther’s case in Nigeria to cobalt in the DRC, MNCs has been responsible for an array of human rights violation. In this Chapter, I analyse and determine how the dominant control of MNC has portray a pervasive gap in BHR governance. I draw from the recent United Resolution and African Commission Resolution 550 to question if there is hope in the horizon and if in the future MNCs could be held accountable for their actions.
