In neuraltherapeutic clinical practice, the facial nerve is frequently the subject of an approach. It is a nerve with multiple anastomotic connections with other cranial nerves, and due to its intracranial trajectory and its extracranial distribution, it is related to various nerves and vascular structures, which make it correlated with various dystrophies. In addition to the physiological impact, due to its predominant motor functionality, its condition implies alteration in facial expression, with a significant emotional and body image impact. In this chapter, its anatomophysiological characteristics, the main clinical conditions associated with its different segments, and the common techniques of neuraltherapeutic approach will be reviewed. It is important to remember that, as an integral part of the entire nervous system, it may be related to distant or reflex functional dystrophies with any of the person’s other functional systems.
