Each continent on the planet contains a desert, and each desert is characterised by its own ecosystem, varied as a hot desert, cold desert, coastal desert, etc. In India, coastal deserts are restricted to the states of Tamil Nadu and Gujarat each having diverse peculiarities in terms of their ecosystems.
