Glass is often assembled into multilayer products for architectural applications. This chapter describes these products, which essentially consist of a combination of the monolithic glass products that were previously discussed in Chap. 2. Compared to monolithic (primary) glass products, multilayer glass products provide additional functionality in terms of post-fracture safety, insulation performance or curvature, as discussed in Sects. 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3, respectively. Whereas fire, burglary, bullet and blast resistance functionalities of mutilayer glass products are discussed in Sects. 3.4 and 3.5. Finally, multilayer glazing products that relate to energy harvesting are described in Sects. 3.6 and 3.7.

摘要
