First described by Yoo and Belzile in 2014, the infraclavicular flap is a versatile tissue unit for head and neck reconstruction. Initially introduced as a fasciocutaneous free flap based on the anterior perforator of the transverse cervical artery and retrograde external jugular vein, it can be used as an adipofascial locoregional flap for neck great vessel coverage and neck contouring after radical neck dissection, tissue on lay after primary pharyngeal closure, and obliteration of dead space.
