This chapter aims to gather evidence from Global Supply ChainGlobal Supply Chain (SC) actors in the pharmaceutical sector to understand how they define a resilient supply chain and identify the main resilienceresilience elements useful for measuring a supply chain's degree of resilience, considering the lessons learned from the COVID-19COVID-19Pandemic pandemic. The goal is to compare the two categories and explore areas of agreement or disagreement on supply chain resilience-related topics. Through a qualitative research design, a two-round focus group was conducted with supply chain players representing different nodes along the chain (e.g., supplierssuppliersuppliers, manufacturers, service providers, Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs)). Key findings from the focus group discussions reveal that managers appreciate and generally agree with the comprehensive supply chain resilience definitions provided by existing literature. However, while there is broad consensus on some recent definitions, managers noted that certain key resilience elements, specifically regarding human resourceshuman resources and the role of technology in enhancing supply chain resilience, are currently missing. Additionally, the most important resilience elements identified by managers in the pharmaceutical supply chain include adaptabilityadaptability, flexibilityflexibility, agilityagility, and collaborationcollaboration.
