Boyhood, Cyberbullying, and Harassment
摘要
The rise of online platforms has led to concerning levels of cyberbullying. Boys are more likely to be perpetrators of cyberbullying than girls, but both boys and girls can be victims. In this chapter, we look closely at the experiences of boys and young men (BYM) in reference to cyberbullying with a focus on their exposure to risks. We consider how experiences with cyberbullying may impact their self-esteem, interest in school, and academic achievement. Central to this chapter is how we can support and promote e-safety for young people when navigating digital spaces.
