A voice-related screening tool to identify Parkinson’s Disease (PD) in the preclinical stage must consider acoustic, perceptual, aerodynamic, and self-assessment factors of the voice, risk factors, and confounding factors to be excluded. This chapter explains these factors and how to contextualize them within the time course of the different stages of PD, with the development of a voice-related biomarker as its center. The analysis is usable for many voice-related disorders.

摘要

A voice-related screening tool to identify Parkinson’s Disease (PD) in the preclinical stage must consider acoustic, perceptual, aerodynamic, and self-assessment factors of the voice, risk factors, and confounding factors to be excluded. This chapter explains these factors and how to contextualize them within the time course of the different stages of PD, with the development of a voice-related biomarker as its center. The analysis is usable for many voice-related disorders.
