Moiré Physics in Collapsed Carbon Nanotubes
摘要
Carbon nanotubes are here presented as one-dimensional analogues of twisted bilayer graphene. First, single-walled carbon nanotubes are classified in terms of their symmetries and band structure. Their collapse, as well as the emergence of moiré patterns, is described from both a theoretical and an experimental perspective. All three different types of chiral carbon nanotubes show distinctive features of moiré materials, such as flat bands. Optimal nanotube candidates are highlighted throughout the chapter.
