Beyond the Screen: Educating Responsible Digital Citizens for a Global Society
摘要
In recent years, the ways in which individuals relate to one another have shifted significantly, with communication increasingly occurring through social media and the internet—particularly among younger populations. While these developments have expanded networks and created new employment opportunities, they have also introduced substantial challenges related to privacy and security, rendering technology a double-edged sword. Conversely, Global Citizenship Education (GCE) aims to cultivate respectful, adaptable individuals capable of navigating a rapidly evolving world, even amid complex global threats. This chapter examines the evolving nature of global citizenship, with a particular emphasis on the rise of digital citizenship as a contemporary mode of civic engagement.
