School Religious Education in Colombia: Accomplice to Violence or Builder of Peace?
摘要
The text seeks to answer the question of how school religious education responds to the ideal of peace in Colombia. To do so, it first presents the pervasive presence of violence in Colombia’s historical and cultural context. This is followed by a description of various peace education initiatives as a response to this reality. Subsequently, it questions whether school-based religious education can be considered a relevant contribution to the fight against violence, in alignment with the formative ideal of peace.
