This article begins with methodological perspectives on the relationship between law and queer, drawing from the rich history of the Critical Legal Studies Movement. This is important for analyzing and establishing a dialectic between queer and law. The article continues with a critical examination of the institution of marriage from a radical feminist perspective, focusing on various intimate, economic, sexual, and other aspects. It then explores the idea of “queering” marriage, incorporating certain feminist critical viewpoints and translating them into a specific queer perspective to analyze the institution of marriage from both social and legal viewpoints. The article concludes with the possibility of reconciling two seemingly opposing concepts: law and queer.
