Securing Electronic Voting System Using Block Chain

The transition from traditional voting methods to electronic voting systems has improved efficiency and mostly overcome logistic difficulties. However, it has also raised concerns about providing security, authentication and transparency to the electronic system of voting. In this paper, we have integrated smart contracts, cryptographic techniques and full-stack environment to provide a secure, reliable and efficient environment for the electronic voting system. Before deploying the EVS on Amazon Web Services, the potential gaps and errors are identified by testing the module on Ganache to avoid deployment failures. In addition, Layer-2 scaling solutions are utilized for system optimization, scaling and ensuring a seamless user experience through React.js and integration of MetaMask wallets along with MongoDB. Experimental results evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed system for securing the advanced voting system.
