In this chapter we begin with the study of regulations and then proceed to an examination of antitrust issues that have arisen multifold with supergiant firms, such as Google, X, Facebook, and other US firms that have dominated the digital landscape. There is an immense conflict in both outlook and enforcement among national entities with the US, in essence, lacking in rulemaking to thwart alleged misbehavior by the said firms. In contrast, other national and supernational entities, such as the EU, have imposed major roadblocks to technological progression with extensive rulemaking and imposition of fines that often exceed total income of some national entities.
