Leveraging Microservices Architecture to Enhance Scalability and Resilience in E-Commerce Platforms
摘要
New e-commerce systems have become integral systems to modern-day trade transactions as they demand the architectures that would seamlessly carry traffic loads, quick implementations of new features, and faultless availability. The microservices architecture has become a new incarnation in response to the shortcomings of old monolithic systems. By decomposing complicated operations into smaller, independently deployable ones, microservices have brought unparalleled scale, fault isolation, and resilience for e-commerce platform applications. This paper studies the role microservices play in designing solutions that improve scalability and reduce downtime in e-commerce systems. It assesses how microservices enable effective resource use, fault tolerance, and rapid development, comparing their advantages with historical systems such as monolithic and service-oriented architectures (SOA). Through extensive analysis and case examples, this study demonstrates how microservices enable e-commerce organizations to provide smooth yet dependable experiences to clients but are more adaptable to market fluctuations. This research would offer valuable insights into the merits of microservices that might contribute to their transformation for developers, architects, and business stakeholders in this increasingly competitive e-commerce market.
