Into the Future: Nurturing Sustainable Life on Land
摘要
The chapter explores sustainable practice implementation for terrestrial ecosystem defense which matches the Sustainable Development Goal 15 (SDG 15) “Life on Land” approach. This practical approach provides ways to deal with present-day habitat destruction and deforestation problems alongside biodiversity decline through localized scalable solutions. Agroforestry alongside sustainable land management and community-based conservation represents the framework which the chapter employs to showcase its achievements in ecological sustainability through studies from India as well as neighboring countries and Japan. The presented discussion explores low-cost technology applications alongside traditional indigenous wisdom as essential methods of stopping deforestation and ecosystem recovery. The chapter stresses the value of developing multi-level policies through cross-border cooperation to merge community-led initiatives with international sustainability objects. The strategy for creating awareness and local action includes education together with public involvement as priority factors. The chapter proposes operational strategies that help researchers understand methods for supporting sustainable land use which protects ecosystem health and diversity into the coming years.
