In this chapter I shall cover the development of dimension and curve theory following the initial contributions of Urysohn and Menger. After returning to Vienna in 1927 Menger continued to work on dimension and curve theory, as well as on other parts of mathematics. He also took an active role in the Vienna Circle and founded a Mathematical Colloquium. Alexandroff edited and promoted the work of his friend Urysohn.

In this chapter I shall cover the development of dimension and curve theory following the initial contributions of Urysohn and Menger.
