Enhancing Digital Competences in Adult Education: Insights from MOOC and Online Mentoring Activities with DigComp Framework
摘要
Utilizing the European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp) as a guiding tool, this study investigates the integration of innovative educational methods, such as MOOCs and online mentoring activities. It explores the effectiveness of this blended approach in empowering trainers and designers to adeptly utilize the DigComp Framework for designing and developing education programs tailored to the digital skill needs of adult learners. The focus of this work is on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to design, access, and implement educational strategies aligned with the framework, thus fostering enhanced digital literacy and competence among adult learners. The results of the first successful training cycle are presented, with 95 participants completing the MOOC curriculum and then engaging in online mentoring sessions in three different groups. Using an evaluation approach that includes both quantitative and qualitative data, this study highlights the importance of aligning instructional content with the DigComp framework. These findings provide valuable insights for developing future adult education programs and instructional methods that follow specific competence frameworks.
