摘要

In today’s educational landscape, the integration of digital technology has profoundly transformed traditional teaching and learning methodologies. This paper explores innovative strategies in technology-enhanced learning design aimed at cultivating digital literacy among educators and students. Emphasizing the University of Aveiro as a case study, the study examines initiatives led by the Teaching and Learning Center (NEA), including tailored training programs, resource provisions, and community-building endeavors. These initiatives support collaborative teaching practices and address digital divide challenges by fostering inclusive educational environments. Key components such as Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) and Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) are highlighted for their role in promoting multidisciplinary learning experiences and global engagement. Furthermore, the study discusses incentives for pedagogical innovation, such as awards for exemplary teaching practices and support for pedagogical innovation projects. These initiatives underscore the university’s commitment to continuous improvement and the development of essential digital competencies. By rethinking learning design in the digital era and embracing transformative practices, educators and institutions can better prepare learners to navigate and thrive in a digitally driven world.
