Currently, an urgent and important task is the development of automated control systems for various units and systems of a car. One of these systems is the anti-lock braking system of a car (ABS), which ensures traffic safety in braking mode. In order to research and optimize the operation of anti-lock braking systems, it is advisable to use methods of mathematical and complex modeling. The course of the braking process depends on the value of the braking torque that is applied to the wheel, therefore one of the most significant dependencies in such a mathematical model is the dependence of the braking torque on the time of the process. This article provides an overview and identifies possible options for the dependence of the braking torque value at the time of the braking process in the passenger car.
