Influence of Thermal Deformations on the Performance of CNC Spindle for a Metal-Cutting Machine Tool
摘要
One of the effective ways to improve the quality of machine-building products is to reduce the impact of thermal deformations during machining by evaluating them and changing the design of the main drive movement. In this study, there have been analyzed sources of errors arising from machining on metal cutting equipment. The object of study was a spindle assembly as the main source of thermal disturbances. In this paper, the main sources of heat which influence on the distribution of temperature field of a CNC spindle assembly and strategies for minimizing thermal errors such as prevention and compensation of deformations are presented. The thermal analysis of the motor-spindle operation was carried out using a mathematical model formed in the Comsol Multiphysics engineering analysis system. Technological solutions aimed at the compensation of temperature errors were proposed.
